What is an Eyebrow Lift?

The brow is held in place by attachments to the bone and by the balance between the frontalis muscle, which lifts it, and the smaller muscles around the eye, which pull it down. As those attachments loosen with age, the outer third of the brow tends to drop first, which is why heaviness is usually noticed at the outer corner of the eye before anywhere else.
Surgery releases the tissue holding the brow in its lowered position and secures it higher, so the correction comes from the structure beneath the skin rather than from tightening the skin itself.
