Preservation Deep Plane Facelift
The original, dated facelift techniques are long gone. The infamous artificial operated look has gone with it. The technique has evolved significantly over the decades to a deep plane facelift in 1990. This was a more technically challenging procedure requiring precise knowledge of the anatomy of the face and nerves. The ligaments attaching to the fat compartments are released, allowing these deep structures to be repositioned. This evolved further more recently, to the preservation deep plane facelift. This technique limits the amount of skin separated from the deep tissue. This allows for the most natural looking rejuvenation. It avoids the "operated," "artificial" or "frozen" look, all the while giving the best lift. The final effect is one of refreshing your face. Returning you to your appearance from 10 years ago. It appears natural, almost like you have had the most relaxing holiday of your life. The preservation technique also has little bruising and boasts a faster recovery. The incisions are well hidden just in front of the temple, ear and behind the ear.
We adopted the technique early allowing us to become one the leading providers in the UK.
Preservation Deep Plane Neck Lift
The facelift addresses the lower face and cheek areas, but not the neck area. The neck is a common site of ageing with fat accumulating under the chin, loss of the definition of the neck, loose excess skin and banding from the muscles.
A deep plane neck lift can address this creating crisp definition between the neck and chin. The fat can be removed. The muscle (platsyma), can be tightened and repositioned to remove the bands. Most of the procedure is done from a small incision under the chin. The rest of it is done by an incision around the bottom of the ear and behind the ear. This allows the muscle to be pulled to the side after freeing it from a deep ligament. This allows the loose skin to be repositioned and the angle of the jaw to be more defined. It is best combined with a facelift.

MACS (minimal access cranial suspension) lift
This is a minimally invasive technique for people who want minimal to modest change. It is reserved for patients where signs of early ageing are noticed but NOT advanced enough to warrant a preservation deep plane facelift. A small incision is made around the ear and the skin lifted. Sutures are used to tighten the underlying fat. This in turn tightens the face. We often recommend non-surgical, non-energy based aesthetic techniques as an alternative.
